READY TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE?

Graydon Hall Manor Wedding | Toronto | Adam + Emma

“We want something different.” This was Adam and Emma’s request when they first contacted us. The great thing about these two is that they aren’t all talk! They offered up a truly unique and special experience on their wedding day, not only for themselves, but for their guests (and us too!). That ‘different’ thing they were after, they achieved, and then some. This was the secret sauce needed to help make the wedding video above possible. They basically talked the talk and then walked the walk 🙂 Watch the video if you want to know what I’m talking about. Just a few highlights: they had a cake pinata, duet performance, crazy golf in the morning, and we can’t forget, Emma wore a mask adorned with the face of the couple’s friend/officiant for their first look. Besides all this fun stuff, the speeches and Q&A’s really helped bring their story to life and tie everything together.

Adam and Emma found us through a friend, Tiffany. We shot her wedding back in 2017 at Graydon Hall Manor too. There’s something special about this venue! Every time we shoot there, magic happens. And don’t get me started on the food! Joanie and I have been treated to some memorable meals at this venue and it always springs to mind when we think of some of our best wedding dinners. How lucky are we!

During the editing process, some weddings fall together a little easier than others. During the morning while I was waiting for Adam to finish his shower, I went down to the basement to snoop around for some old embarrassing pictures that may come in handy while editing. I noticed a Nintendo 64 lying around with games everywhere and since I had the time I thought I’d get a quick shot of this. So you can imagine how happy I was when the best man/brother of the groom highlighted the Nintendo 64 during his speech. If you could only see my smug face during that moment haha! We also got lucky when Emma mentioned Adam’s crazy hair during university and guess which smug guy got a shot of his crazy hair in a picture frame that morning…guilty as charged. I’m too much, I know. My humour has gone to shit ever since I became a dad. That dad humour stuff is for real!

Regarding the couple themselves, can I just say how easy it was hanging around them for the day! Rolling up at the crazy golf course I felt like I was seeing old friends and I know Joanie felt the same during the morning with the girls. One of the least stressful and most chilled out weddings we have shot. For real!

Nuthin but love,
Henjo x
