Crown Prince Banquet | Wedding Video | Grace + Kevin

Oh man, how many times am I going to say the ‘sweetest couple’ this year?!? Grace and Kevin have such a genuine and honest kind of love that everyone wishes their most cherished ones will find in their lives. We first met Grace when we filmed her brother’s wedding (Alfred + Amy) last year, and we were very happy when she contacted us again to have us be her wedding videographers also! She was just as sweet as we remembered her when we met for our consultation. And just as described by all of his family and friends on the wedding day, Kevin is the most gentle-hearted person you’ll ever meet. We know he is definitely going to take good care of Grace for the rest of their lives together!

VENUE: The couple held their wedding at Crown Prince Fine Dining and Banquet , a Chinese restaurant that has AMAZING food! If you’re not going here for a wedding, just go here for dinner or dim sum some time – I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed!

MC: We need to give a big shout out to the MC that night, Anto Chan! There is a positive energy and vibe about him that seriously translates to the crowd. He kept the excitement up, kept everyone laughing, and kept everything running to schedule – all perfect characteristics for an excellent MC. He’s so good that he gets a lot of his work through word of mouth (as we are spreading it now!) so get in contact with him if you’re looking for something new and dynamic for your wedding. He works his bilingual magic (English and Cantonese), if you’re looking for that skill too! He actually moved to HK after this wedding for a year to take part in a comedy festival and be a part of the comedy circuit there. He should be back by peak wedding season next year, so definitely get in touch with him!

PHOTOGRAPHER: Really enjoyed working with Marvin Lam from PPB Studio – laid back, funny, and easy to work with! By the way PPB Studio also has wedding coordinating services – they helped Grace even coordinate things ranging from makeup to decor!

CAKE: The cake was so beautifully done that I was shocked when I heard it was the first wedding cake Grace’s co-worker (Kristen Matthews) ever made! She normally makes baby shower cakes, but I think she should definitely continue with the wedding cakes too! She is super talented!

MUSIC: We loved Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran’s Everything has Changed when it came out, and fell even more in love when we watched the adorable video that went along with it. Something this adorable needed to be paired with the wedding cinematography we captured on this day.

Big thanks to Grace and Kevin for giving us a wedding day full of firsts! It was our first time filming inside an ice cream truck (perfect for such a hot day!), our first time filming a bride/groom duet (super emotional for the parents), and our first time filming a human love bridge (what an amazing ice breaker)! We won’t forget your unique day!

Until the next post,
Joanie x
