What a way to ring in the new year! Forget watching the ball drop on TV, or experiencing an anti-climax after planning a big night out that doesn’t turn out as expected – these two counted down to 2016 by celebrating their love with all the people they loved in one room. You can’t beat that! After this event, I really understood the reason behind having a wedding on New Year’s eve. There wasn’t anyone sitting down by the end of the night – everyone was having an absolute blast!
In 2014, Meghan and Alex attended a wedding we filmed for their friends Katherine and Andrew. Luckily for us, we were included in the list of vendors that Katherine and Andrew recommended to them (a big shout out to K&A!). We were back at Ancaster Mill as well, and the food was just as good as it was the last time! As wedding videographers in Toronto/GTA, it’s nice to travel to surrounding areas and experience different venues and settings. Ancaster looked magical in December with snow covered rooftops – which helped with our drone shot and provided that festive feel for a winter wedding.
I must mention that these two were extremely easy to work with. They are such positive people that just go with the flow – no bridezilla or groomzilla here, that’s for sure! A MOH not being able to make the wedding due to sickness, could’ve sent the bride into a meltdown, but instead, this bride found some family/friends to step up to the plate and just carried on as planned. Although of course, Meghan was sad and disappointed with the situation, she didn’t let it affect her big day and her mood. She is the perfect example of ‘cool, calm and collected on your wedding day’. People need to take a page out of her book! We are glad we were able to include her original MOH in the video somehow as we knew how much she meant to the bride.
