Fantasy Farm | Toronto Wedding | Cindy + Andrea

Fantasy Farm Wedding Toronto

First off, we wouldn’t be writing this blog post if it wasn’t for the talented Mario from Avangard Photography. Thank you so much for recommending us to Cindy and Andrea – we couldn’t have asked for two better people to work with!

From the moment we met this couple at Tim Hortons, we hit it off. We were on the same page about everything concerning weddings and wedding videos. They wanted us to capture their love for each other, but just as important, everybody near and dear around them that helped them get where they are today. It was easy to see how much family meant to the both of them. Just looking at the way Cindy and her mom interact makes you really appreciate that special mother-daughter relationship. Those looks of love that we saw throughout the day were even more powerful knowing that Cindy is an only child. Her mom’s impromptu speech in the evening certainly pulled at the heartstrings and we knew we had to include it in the video. It was the perfect pairing to the mother-daughter dance they shared in the evening – we love those moments.

The couple held their wedding at Fantasy Farm which was a super unique venue in Toronto. Cottage-like, cozy and gave off that warm and fuzzy feeling. This venue is a little gem hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown core just off the don valley pkwy. Because it’s nestled amongst acres and acres of land, we were able to do a photoshoot on the property as well – no need to go far! A few other examples of venues where photoshoots could be done right on the property are at Whistlebear golf club (Danielle + Nate) and Kortright Centre (Nick + Katlyn).

So let’s talk about that first song we used, Cold Little Heart by Michael Kiwanuka. The couple really liked that song and wanted us to somehow incorporate it into the video. It’s not the typical wedding song we would normally gravitate towards, but after hearing it a couple of times and going through the footage that we were going to work with, it just all came together and ended up being the perfect fit! We just love the super cool vibe that this song gives off, and we couldn’t get it out of our heads after listening to it. It was similar to when we got a song list from another one of our couples, Tiffany + Victor – again, not your typical wedding songs, but once we paired it with the footage, it just worked!

Thank you Cindy and Andrea for trusting in us to capture your big day. You honestly made everything so easy for us by being so incredibly sweet and accommodating! Super grateful that we could share in your big day with you! Lots of love to you both 🙂

Until the next post,
Joanie and Henry x
