READY TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE?

The Eddie Hotel & Farm Wedding | Prince Edward County | Jessica + Andreas

We love it when wind and slow motion come together so effortlessly and produce the most awesome and cinematic scenes for our wedding videos. It doesn’t hurt when you got a beauty of a bride and a handsome groom as the main stars of the film either!

Andreas and Jessica had just the right breeze blowing through their hair and the trees on this beautiful September day in Prince Edward County. It was our first time filming in this location and boy were we impressed! The Eddie Hotel & Farm was a stunning property that set the scene for the wedding from morning til night – we were able to do everything in this one space! From the getting ready to the photoshoot, to the ceremony, to the reception – we were delighted with the backdrop we got to work with for such a lovely event. Definitely would recommend if you plan on getting married in the area!

We were lucky enough to meet these two because of their connection with one of our previous couples, Selina and Chris. We met them at Tim Hortons and knew right off the bat that we were on the same page concerning their highlight video. They wanted their story to be told, to capture all those lovely candid moments, to really showcase all the loved ones they hold so close to their hearts…hopefully we did just that!

Both of them are lawyers and met in law school. Apparently Jessica rejected Andreas a thousand times before she agreed to go out with him in their third year. The lesson here? Persistence is key lol! They went long distance for a long while which must have been hard, but Andreas being the romantic that he is, wrote Jessica a love letter every day. I know, how sweet is that? And you know what he said in one of those letters from 2016? “I’m going to marry you one day”…awwww!!! That being said, we knew we needed to start off the video with such an epic piece of audio. Check out the video of course, for their full story! And don’t miss one of the most amazing first looks we’ve ever filmed 🙂

On another note, we must mention that we were blessed with BRILLIANT light for their photoshoot. We just couldn’t get a bad shot, it was that good. The two of them were just glowing and everything on the farm just looked magical. Can we give props to Jessica for allowing the groomsmen to throw her up in the air (and we don’t mean a tiny throw, it was one of the biggest we’ve seen!) Andreas was up first, and Jessica and her girls were just waiting in the wings laughing as all the fun unfolded. There was literally no expectation that Jessica was going to be tossed up as well – but Jessica couldn’t let Andreas have all the fun. We LOVE this type of bride 🙂 It was a day of fun, laughter and a bunch of emotion in between.

Thank you Jessica and Andreas for letting us be a part of your special day! You two have been so sweet and supportive of our work, and we knew we had to knock it out of the park for you two! Over the moon that you felt we did! You guys are our first blog post of 2019 – yay! Blessed to have met you in 2018 and wishing you both all the best this new year!

Lots of love,
Joanie and Henry x
