Throughout the day and night, a picture was painted of two academics who share a passion for social justice, equality, family, and each other. With their genuine care for others, it was clear that these two were deeply appreciated and adored by all those around them.
‘Similar’ does not even begin to describe this couple! As the bride mentioned in her Q&A, ‘the two of them living parallel lives’ was one of the reasons Mark used to persuade Laura into dating him! We could just tell straight away that the loved-up pair were on the same page in every aspect of their lives. They are actually SO in sync with each other, that they even chose the same two readings for their ceremony without consulting one another! Seriously, that’s like one-in-a-million type of stuff we’re talking about here!
So how did we meet this couple? We had the absolute pleasure of working with their talented photographer, Erin Blackwood, at Chantelle and Jason’s wedding last year and we couldn’t wait to get the opportunity to capture a wedding with her again. So you can imagine how excited we were when Laura and Mark contacted us and said that Erin was the reason they approached us in the first place! Luckily for us, Erin enjoyed working with us too, and recommended our videography services to the couple. From there, we met Laura and Mark, hit it off, and the rest is history!
Like many of our weddings this year, Laura and Mark’s big day was filled with so much content, that it was hard to pack it all into one wedding video. So many funny and heartfelt speeches that the couple will just have to wait to watch in the feature length!
I must mention that out of the many amazing speeches that night, I think I had the hardest time figuring out what to use from the best man’s speech. It was hilarious from beginning to end, which was frustrating to say the least, because I couldn’t use all of it in the highlight video LOL! Not only was the content good, the delivery of it all was excellent! A wedding cinematographers dream!
Luckily for the bride, she was happy with her vendors and highly recommends ALL of them! Not every bride can say that, so I’m super happy that Laura fell into the category of ‘COMPLETELY satisfied customer’! Can I say too, that the florals were spectacular? Amazing job done by Ooh la la Designs! The bouquet was to die for!
Big thank you to Laura and Mark for trusting in us to capture their most special and intimate day. You made us feel like part of the family and we appreciate it more than you know!
