READY TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE?

THE MANOR | WEDDING VIDEO | RONNIE + ROBBIE

When we first met Ronnie and Robbie (how cute are their names together?), our first thought was – wow, what a super HAAWT couple! Once we finally stopped staring at all of the gorgeousness in front of us, we got to know two incredibly sweet, genuine and accomplished individuals. Robbie recently finished med school and is now a doctor, and Ronnie (@inspiredtobefit) inspires her thousands of followers every day to get fit, healthy and confident – Ronnie, you have definitely inspired me to get fit and renew my vows so I can look like you in a wedding dress haha! With these two having careers that are focused on helping others, you really can’t get a better match than that! The cutest thing about these two is that they first met when they were 12 years old. Safe to say that they have a lot of history together. We knew we were going to be in for a fabulous wedding!

So the big day was held at The Manor in Kettleby where we’ve filmed once before (Yan + Spencer). We love the fact that the ceremony space is basically like a pavilion where there’s a roof for coverage but one side is open to the greenery and pond in front so you feel like your outdoors. No need to worry about the rain! We were able to do everything there, so it was super convenient for everyone involved.

Since this was a Jewish wedding, we knew going in that a Hora experience was on the cards! Whether you know it’s coming or not, you can never be completely prepared for a dance like this! Our experiences of horas in the past have been wild – jewellery, hair, drinks, and PEOPLE go flying in every direction and you have no idea where or when this is going to happen! Ronnie and Robbie’s hora was no different. Everyone had a blast as you can clearly see on each face involved in the video. It was so much fun to watch! We LOVE when the couple gets hoisted up in the chairs as well – especially when the whole family gets involved. The love in the room was intense! Here’s another Jewish wedding we filmed with a memorable hora (Nate + Danielle).

Speaking of family, I really have to mention the mother and daughter relationship between Ronnie and her mom. I honestly could not help but think about my own relationship with Lea when I saw the two of them interact on the day. Not going to lie, I teared up more than I probably should have behind the camera thinking about me in the same position in the future. When Ronnie’s mom gifted her with diamond earrings and this framed quote saying, ‘I can’t promise that I’ll be there for the rest of your life, but I can promise that I’ll love you for the rest of mine.’ OMG! I died right there and then. Bruna, from Simply Lace Photography, and I quickly glanced at each other with tears in our eyes. We are such melts! She totally understood why I was getting so emotional because she has kids herself. Speaking of Bruna, we always love working with her (we did Leann + Mike’s wedding together at Malaparte) and were so happy to learn that we were doing this wedding together!

We also have to mention that Robbie’s sister made the gorgeous cake (Pretty Sweet Pastry Boutique) – clearly, many talents run in this family. And seriously, we need to find out what Robbie’s dad does. Is he a comedian? He cracked us up during his speech (unfortunately, so many amazing speech bits that we couldn’t even fit it in!). You’ll just have to trust us! I’m sure you got a tidbit of his humour when he interjected during Robbie’s speech…you’ll have to watch the video to see what we mean!

I think I’ve rambled on long enough. Lastly and most importantly, we just want to say a big thank you to Ronnie and Robbie for letting us be a part of such beautiful day. They invited us on this emotional rollercoaster, and we really didn’t want to get off! Lots of love to you both!

Until the next post,
Joanie and Henry x
