READY TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE?

The Royal Ambassador Event Centre | Caledon Wedding | John Mark + Patricia

People cannot get enough of these two! That is the first thing that came to mind when figuring out how to start this blog post. Throughout the whole wedding day you could just tell that all the guests really loved being around John Mark and Patricia (AKA JM and Chai), and we get it. They go over the top to make you feel special and appreciated. It wasn’t until a week after their wedding day that we noticed they snuck in a lovely card for us with the payment. Even before we done a seconds work, they were already planning on how to show their appreciation. You didn’t even need to, you had us at hello, guys… fingers crossed there are some Jerry Maguire fans out there, so the joke hits..?

While sticking on the point of how much love was in the room, we have to mention the crowd reaction to JM’s surprise video and what followed. I so vividly remember recording people reacting to the video and then when it ended, the crowd absolutely erupted when JM’s boys got out of their seats to did a live dance performance for Patricia. Honestly, the adrenaline running through the guests at that point was crazy and I know we had to include some of the live audio when it came to editing this beauty.

The wedding Reception was held at The Royal Ambassador Event Centre in Caledon and was coordinated wonderfully by Bridal Solutions. We once shot a ceremony at this venue (Brian + Susan) and then another time, we shot a Reception here but in a different hall (Adam + Laura). This venue has a lot to offer when it comes to weddings. You never need to leave the grounds for a photoshoot as there are tonnes of beautiful spots to use on site. Not to mention how good it looks from the sky too. Drone shots are a no-brainer.

We really felt at home during this wedding having known a lot of the guests through Joanie’s sister and hubby. But to make things even better, we got to work with one of our favorite photographers – Mario from Avangard Photography! He is the kind of photographer that just blends into the wedding day and you don’t even know he’s there half the time. It really couldn’t be more seamless working alongside Mario. He just really knows what he is doing and that allows him to stay calm and relaxed throughout the day. It was only a few months ago that we got to work with Mario at one of our weddings that got featured in ‘Toronto Life’ – Tiffany + Victor.

We have to give a shout out to the videographer behind the surprise video shown during the reception – Jay Tagorda. Jay – you killed it! What a memorable moment for the couple and the guests thanks to your artistry. See more of his work on his website here.

JM And Chai – we have officially joined your fan club! Expect a visit to your bakery soon. #GoldenBakeshop

Thanks for trusting us with your story 🙂
