So, we literally sat down and chatted for hours with these two lovebirds! The vibe was great, the conversation effortless – it was truly a match made in wedding videography heaven! We knew we were in for a fabulous wedding day full of fun. It kinda helps when the bride and groom LOVE to smile and laugh (and as a result, made Henry’s head enormous because they laughed at all of his terrible jokes). Thank you Andrew and Jessica for being so polite and humouring him…
We first met these two at Andrew’s cousin’s wedding that we filmed (Alice + Ahilun). Andrew was part of the wedding party so we got a glimpse into his fun personality then! Luckily for us, Andrew and Jessica then contacted us for their own wedding when they got engaged! A big shout out to Alice and Ahilun for making this happen basically! We love filming these types of weddings where there is that connection already. It was like a mini reunion for us that day!
Andrew and Jessica met in highschool, and from both accounts, didn’t like each other…like seriously, did not like each other. Somehow, against the odds, friendship blossomed in University when the two shared the same bus to and from school. Oh, how public transportation can bring people together! Basically, it was history from there.
Now onto the wedding day… I was in love with Jessica’s Q&A. The way she answered how she knew Andrew was the one, was just so incredibly honest and genuine. I could picture that moment as she described it, and really understand how she felt. And as much emotion as there was in her answers, there were laughs and a lot of humour….maybe not intentionally! Her describing that ‘Andrew rap star’ story cracked me up, but also gave me insight into Jessica’s character. She is the definition of ‘Ride or Die’ and Andrew is one lucky guy to have her by his side! That being said, Jessica is a lucky gal as well. The loyalty, the love, the adoration – you could feel that through Andrew’s actions and words throughout the day and night. His BBM story during his speech was the best! You can’t miss it in the video!
Although it was February, the two were super lucky to have some amazing weather! So we took that opportunity to get some shots outdoors (that we didn’t think we were going to get because it was February!). Very happy that we were able to get that conga line of the wedding party running across the street. At that point, we knew we had a crowd that was going to give it their all during the reception entrances and party hard at the end of the night! They didn’t disappoint!
On the day, we got to work with Daniel Clements Photography which was a blast as always! We’ve worked with him quite a few times in the past (a couple of weddings we did together include Thomas + Melanie’s and Brian + Susan’s), and it’s honestly just so easy! That’s probably the best way to describe the way we work together on the day. Hope we get to see him some more in the 2018 season!
Overall, it was the most fantastic day! Not one bit of stress…well there has to be a little bit of stress doing the work we do, but it was minimal this time around. How could we be stressed with such lovely and easy-going people around us? Thank you Andrew and Jessica, for letting us document your special day! We couldn’t have picked two better people to follow around with our cameras for a day – we may just have to continue following you around for a future reality TV show…
We can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings for the both of you!
