Whistle Bear Golf Club | Wedding Video | Danielle + Nate

First blog post of 2018!! Happy new year everyone!! Hope santa delivered the goods 🙂

8 years ago when we filmed our very first wedding, we could only dream of being approached by couples with such unique love stories as Danielle and Nate. Getting together at such a young age, and more importantly, staying together, is the ultimate story that every wedding videographer wants to capture and tell through film. All of us can remember that one couple from school that stayed together and kept the romance going from childhood into adulthood. Think of all the memories that couple must have together. Those memories together are priceless!

I met Joanie when I was 22, so that is where our joint memories together started. However, we often think about what it would be like if we went to the the same high school and what we would think of each other back then. Personally, I think she would’ve be even more out-of-my-league than she is today, but I’d like to think that still wouldn’t stop me 🙂

The wedding venue that the couple chose was Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge. This is fastly becoming one of our favourite wedding venues and we have already mentioned it to Joanie’s sister, whenever her big day arrives. Over the years we have shot two other weddings here, so if you want to see more of the venue and what it has to offer check out our other videos – Melanie + David and Chet + Vanisha. We have to mention the wedding ceremony space on site as well. It has made up of glass all around with a retractable ceiling which makes it feel like you are having the wedding outside regardless of the weather. No backup space needed for those rainy days. So you can feel relaxed no matter what way the weather decides to turn on your wedding day.

Oh ya, and how can we forget that crazy sunset shot! We were all inside listening to the speeches when the sky just started turning more and more red over time. After the current speech had ended, half of the wedding guests ran outside to enjoy it with their own eyes. So it was a no-brainer for us, to squeeze in another romantic shot even though we had tonnes from earlier in the day already. It was just a perfect ending to a perfect day. You can’t plan this stuff. What can I say, it was just beautiful.

One last thing, we have to give a shout out to our awesome cousin Will (and co-worker of Danielle) who put us in touch and hence made this video possible. Will makes it into the video when he had a pretty cool idea for the kissing game. If you watched the video already, you will know what I’m talking about.

Danielle and Nate – thank you so much for trusting us and giving us the honour of telling your beautiful story in the best way we know how. Love you guys! Stay in touch!

Until the next post,
Henry and Joanie x
