Dreams Convention Centre | Brampton | Nishanth + Elsa

Dreams Convention Centre Brampton indian wedding video videography

COUPLE: What a beautiful and lovely couple Nishanth and Elsa were – the glow around them was undeniable was made for great wedding videography!  Their joy and smiles just gave everyone in the room that warm and fuzzy feeling 🙂 This was quite an unusual situation for us as we were brought in last minute to film and edit this wedding – we hadn’t even met the couple prior to their wedding day!  What a testament to the couple though, as we felt like we knew them because of their oh so welcoming nature!  Thanks once again to the happy couple for having us film their special day!

PHOTOGRAPHERS: We worked alongside Eric and Jenelle of Taylin Studios and had a fantastic time!  Super professional, fun, and always keeping us in mind – it was an unspoken agreement to do our best in staying out of each other’s shots! LOL! That’s the balance you need when working with a videography and photography team!  They totally understood our craft and accommodated accordingly (as Taylin Studios also offers videography packages – shout out to members of their videography team, Junior and Kris, for helping us with some shots in the evening!). Understanding each other’s goals and constraints is the best way to work with each other – and thankfully, we both did!  If you’re looking for a creative and photojournalistic approach to your photos, check them out!

MUSIC: The importance of faith to the couple was clear and we knew we had to use a song that reflected that! It was also a song sung during the ceremony, so we knew it was one that would touch the couple’s hearts! The song is Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts, and you can download off itunes here.

VENUE: The reception was held at Dreams Convention Centre in Brampton – if you’re looking for a big space, this venue has plenty of it! As wedding cinematographers, the extra space was welcomed as it gave us the necessary space to shoot from different angles without getting in peoples way. The cocktail area was huge, so no need to cram in like sardines.  They also had a massive screen and projector in the hall for all your video needs!  This wedding party definitely took advantage of this and even used it for pre-recorded speeches (I guess it helps with the nerves!). They also used it for some fun and interactive games that you might want to consider for your own wedding!  Family Feud was their game of choice and having it on the big screen meant that all their guests could play along!

The rainy weather didn’t get the couple down – which should be a rule for all couples on their wedding day…just roll with it!  I’m actually trying to tell myself this, in prep for next year!

Until the next post,
Joanie x
