READY TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE?

Riviera Event Space | Vaughan | Norris + Glenna

You know that feeling you get when you’ve finally completed a 5000 piece puzzle? When you’ve picked up that last piece and put it in its place to finish your masterpiece? It’s that feeling of satisfaction, success, accomplishment…yeah I know, basically I’m just reeling off a bunch of synonyms…but on top of that, it’s a feeling of relief! You stare at this ginormous monster, and you overcame it! This is EXACTLY how I felt when I finished editing Norris and Glenna’s wedding highlight video. Why you ask?
Well, we went into this wedding with a whole lot of pressure on our shoulders. There was no intention from the couple to give us this pressure, it just happened. They’ve been great supporters of our work and were not shy in expressing this! They made our heads super big and basically put all of their trust in us to nail their big day. Luckily, we got the reaction we wanted when we shared the video with them! On top of the fact that there were some high expectations, the couple gave us so much content to work with on the day. I know I’m beginning to sound like a broken record, but we’ve just been so lucky with our couples! When we got into wedding videography, this was the type of wedding we always dreamed about.

I must give kudos to the bride! Her idea of an all-white party was brilliant! Someone could’ve easily forgotten the memo and come in bright red, but that luckily wasn’t the case! Everyone that was there participated in the theme and made the wedding visually unforgettable! It was definitely a wedding unlike any I’ve seen before! The decor was flawless too. Everything just laced so perfectly with their presidential theme, especially the massive seal they had plastered on their dance floor. AMAZING! We knew this couple was going to see their theme through when we first got their invitation in the mail. It had a gold seal with CONFIDENTIAL: HENJO written on the front. I couldn’t contain my excitement when opening it up just to see the contents inside. What a way to treat your wedding videographers!

I honestly felt as though I was outside of my body watching myself on set filming some sort of movie or music video – but to my own amazement, it was actually happening live and in real time. It was this surreal feeling of, ‘Is this really happening?’ Everything was choreographed to perfection (even when it wasn’t!). From the dances, (oh my, the dances!), to the decor, to the red carpet, to the presidential theme, to the all-white party – everything just fit like a puzzle into the perfect wedding package! Now if I didn’t feel all the pressure before the wedding, I was feeling it now.

I gotta capture this. I gotta capture that. OMG, I can’t miss a beat. All of this is TOOO good.

I can’t even comment on their dance performances – I could talk about it all day. All I gotta say is, they killed it – boys and girls! Glenna’s was a surprise for Norris, and as you can see on his face, he LOVED it (as did everyone else!).

Thank you so much to Norris and Glenna for all the love – from the beginning to the end! You two are just the nicest and most genuine people we’ve met, and we are so grateful every day that you guys contacted us! What a special thing it is to have a video like this in our portfolio. Thanks for making it happen!

Until the next post,
Henjo x
