Berkeley Church Event Venue | Toronto Wedding | Rochelle + Massimo

Berkeley Church Wedding

When we think of February, the first thing that pops into our head is COLD! But on this gorgeous February day for Rochelle and Massimo’s wedding, there was not one thing that reflected that adjective. First of all, it was a beautiful sunny day and I remember not even needing to wear a jacket outside! On top of that, the day was filled with warm faces, loads of love, chocolate and marshmallows! Yes please, to all of the above!

We first met Rochelle and Massimo over skype and it was the first time we heard about how they met. It was definitely a story made for the movies and made us even more excited to be their wedding videographers! Who doesn’t love a love story that is fated and written in the stars?! The fact that Rochelle happened to find Massimo on a completely different dating website 1 year after their one and only date (and was planning to shut down all of her accounts), is unbelievable! They were definitely meant to be 🙂

They held their wedding at the beautiful Berkeley Church Event Venue in Toronto. We filmed at their sister venue, Berkeley Fieldhouse last year for Christine and Tom’s wedding. Both unique venues that we would recommend if you have smaller numbers and are looking for something alternative to a banquet hall. We loved the venues backdrop on the stage, a perfect highlight of the church’s best feature! The space was decorated beautifully as well! I was in love with those those little fairy lights that were accentuated in tall snowglobe-like centerpieces.

We were lucky enough to work with wedding coordinator, Berlyn, from BLoved Events again. The first time was for Derrick and Karain’s wedding a few years back and we’ve been waiting ever since to meet again! Just as it was for that last wedding, she was super organized and on top of every detail. We find that quite a few people try to save and budget by opting out of a wedding planner/coordinator, but we do see first-hand how helpful it can be to have one – especially on the day! Last thing you want to do is stress out on your wedding day, so it’s nice to leave the details to someone else so you can fully enjoy yourselves and just take it all in!

We had such a blast with the couple and are so happy that they let us be a part of their special day! So many different cultures were merging together that night, and it was lovely to see everyone just having an amazing time and celebrating this new chapter and new family! All the best Rochelle and Massimo, you guys have such an amazing future ahead of you!

Until the next post,
Henjo x
