We love Barn weddings… period! They always have a great vibe going on and it’s a real treat for those that live in the city. You don’t have to worry about finding parking, paying for parking or traffic jams. On top of all of that, everything always looks great on camera with so many natural spots to capture nature at its finest. It doesn’t hurt when the bride knows how to dress up the space (You’re right Sean, Ashley does have good taste!). Throw in an adorable, genuine couple and we are fully spoiled as wedding cinematographers 🙂
Ashley and Sean are the picture perfect example of high school sweethearts. They met when they were only 16 and 17 and their love carried them all the way to their big day! It’s that type of young love you see in those TV shows, that makes you want to stay tuned in for the next episode! …Will they, won’t they?…Yay, they’re together!…Will they last?…Omg, they made it!…I love them together!…What a satisfying outcome 🙂 Their first look was one of the cutest we’ve ever filmed! That’s why we felt we had to leave all the audio in there, it just made us smile every time we watched it for some reason!
We must also mention the powerful speech made by Ashley’s mom, specifically the part about what Ashley does for work and how she deals with her patients. Made us tear up when we heard it the first time at the reception, and made us tear up multiple times again when editing that part into the video. It’s speeches like this that give us a real inside look into the bride and groom as individuals and together as a couple. Like we always say, we feel like we’ve known the couples for years after experiencing just their one wedding day with them! Makes us feel even more pressure to get their highlight video just right! We hope we did their love story justice!
The wedding ceremony and reception was held at Brooklands Farm in Bracebridge and it was a beautiful venue for a wedding. We have mentioned before how convenient it is for the couple and their guests by having the ceremony and reception in the same place. And this day was no different. It just feels like there is more time to enjoy the day more. One thing future couples should take note of though regarding this venue, is that no drones are allowed here. So that’s something to keep in mind if you are a big fan of drone shots.
We have to say that this couple and wedding really reminded us of a wedding we shot back in 2015. And the couples’ names were almost the same too. Pretty crazy! See what we are talking about here: Shane + Ashley’s wedding video.
