Cambridge Mill | Wedding Video | Jasmine + Jeff

This couple’s wedding hashtag is #JazzyJeff which should give you a little indication of the types of people Jasmine and Jeff are. Super cool, super fun, and super jazzy of course! When we met with them the first time, it was laughs all-around. And that meant, lucky us got front row seats to Jasmine’s signature smile! Everyone was talking about that all day and night, and we understand why!

Their love story is one straight out of a TV show or movie. It’s classic! Jasmine and Jeff worked part-time at Walmart a decade ago. One day he was moving food products around on a pump truck and he noticed Jasmine. Basically, he was checking her out not paying attention to what was ahead, and ends up crashing his pump truck. With that loud bang, Jasmine looks up and heads over to help Jeff clean up the mess. And from there, the talking started and the love story began. I told you it was as if it was scripted! What a way to begin a relationship!

They’ve been together a long time which was nice because everyone in that reception space felt like one big family. There was just this overwhelming sense of love and the sense that everyone from both sides of the family felt really comfortable around each other. It felt very similar to another wedding we filmed where the couple, Christine + Tom, knew each other since kindergarten!

The whole wedding (ceremony, photoshoot and reception) was held at Cambridge Mill which was such a nice bonus for us. Having the wedding in one location cuts out the stress of getting from A to B and allows us to focus on the important stuff. The ceremony space was absolutely gorgeous! It was surrounded by floor to ceiling glass with high wooden-beamed ceilings for coverage from the sun – this also meant that they were prepared for any weather on the day. Another stunning feature of the ceremony space was that it overlooked the Grand River – what a sight for all of their guests! A beautiful garden space just adjacent to the building was the setting for the photoshoot and their first look. As wedding videographers we couldn’t ask for more! No need to go anywhere else! Overall a great place to consider for your big day!

During the consultation, Jasmine and Jeff were sure to tell us that they were big fans of the drone. So leading up to the day, we were crossing our fingers just hoping for good weather. And we couldn’t have asked for a better day! We got some amazing shots, especially the one pulling back from the balcony over the Grand River of the two of them. We were so happy we could end the video on a drone shot cause we knew the couple would really appreciate it. Another wedding where we went drone-crazy was for Meaghan + Adam’s wedding day in Muskoka. We understand when couples can’t stop thinking about those aerial shots…we love them too!

We must mention how crazy it was when we found out who Jasmine’s photographer was (Ian Liwanag). We knew the name sounded familiar when she mentioned it, but we thought, it couldn’t be! It was actually the DJ for one of our previous couple’s weddings – Joanne + Carlson! We had such a great chat with him at the vendor table that other night, that he definitely left an impression on us! He’s obviously multi-talented offering both services! It was really great seeing him again in a different capacity!

Well, it was a stunning day for two stunning people. Thank you JazzyJeff for choosing us to capture your big day and letting us tell your incredible story through film. We had such a blast all day working with you two and can’t wait to see what’s next in your future! Don’t be strangers!

Until the next post,
Joanie and Henry x
