READY TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE?

Crystal Fountain | Markham | Wedding Video | Debbie + Brian

Crystal Fountain Markham wedding video videography

GANGNAM STYLE: We couldn’t resist!!!! It’s the song that won’t go away, gets stuck in your head, and is so darn catchy! It was basically the theme song of the day and night, so we knew we needed to throw it into the wedding video somewhere! It just worked so well with the door games portion of the day (where the lovely bridesmaids devised creative obstacles for the groom and groomsmen to get past, in order to see the bride!). They were all such good sports!

COUPLE: Brian and Debbie (including the whole wedding party) were so much fun to work with – they were up for anything! Great thing we went to Richmond Green Park for the photoshoot, we had a blast using all the available props and equipment around! We even got a green light for chin-ups…from the boys AND the lovely bride in her dress!! Debbie and Brian are just so sweet together, and it’s completely evident in this wedding video!

MUSIC: As we mentioned above, the intro is Gangnam Style by PSY – the youtube phenomenon! And for the rest of the wedding video, we used the track Lucky by Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz – it’s so beautiful, one of my favourites!

BRIDAL MAKE-UP (Satine Studio): I have to give a big shout out to Satine – she is amazing! Being an East Asian girl, I know how hard it is to find a make-up artist that can do my make-up properly without having me look completely different than my normal self! Our features are just so different compared to other cultures! Satine however, specializes in Asian makeup and is clearly very good, because she books up so fast! Doesn’t Debbie look amazing? I’m bummed because she probably isn’t available for my big day next year, but I might ask her if she has time to do my hair. We will see! She is a lovely person and her availability is limited, so contact her quick!

PHOTOGRAPHER: We worked with Tony Giang from AMG Toronto Wedding Photography and had a wonderful time! Debbie and Brian certainly picked the right guy – he was just as much fun to work with as the wedding party! He’s great because he never adds to the stress, he just goes with the flow of the wedding (because we all know that weddings sometimes don’t go to plan!). Great photographer with a lot of experience – check him out!

VENUE: Crystal Fountain Banquet Hall was perfect for this couple as they basically were able to hold all their events in one place! This is very convenient for all of their guests, plus wedding videographers 🙂 They had their ceremony, tea ceremony, and reception all in this hall – eliminating the need for multiple trips for guests in the day. The staff were able to transform the hall from ceremony to reception space during the cocktail hour and tea ceremony, and did so in a very swift fashion! Quite a big space with screens for slideshows or videos if you have any (I would suggest making use of it!). Beautiful cocktail hour space with the ‘crystal fountain’ in the middle of it all!

We had so much fun shooting the wedding cinematography and editing this video! It was a wedding with just the right balance of sweet and FUN! Thanks Debbie and Brian for letting us share in your special day!

Until the next post,
Joanie x
