Over the years of filming weddings, we’ve witnessed the sweetest and most endearing father-daughter relationships you can imagine. Relationships so strong, that we were able to grasp the energy and emotions of it all in just one day! If you’re from planet earth, I’m sure you know that the father-daughter ‘giving away’ thing, is kind of a big deal. We’ve seen it all – from a father’s beaming smile of pride, to his tears of just, ‘I don’t want to let her go, but I have to’. We’ve been lucky enough to be a part of these special moments, and we’ll never take it for granted!
Since we’re celebrating Father’s Day this weekend, we want to pay special tribute to A Daughter’s First Love by sharing a montage of some of our favourite father-daughter moments throughout the years of filming weddings. We couldn’t help but get emotional just editing it all together – we hope this wedding video montage tugs at your heartstrings too!
On my own little personal note, I want to say a very special Happy Father’s Day to my own dad. He is seriously the best dad in the world (no offense to Henry, but my dad does have a few years experience on him! Hopefully he’ll catch up!). My life would not be the same if it wasn’t for you – and since I couldn’t be any happier at this very moment, it so concludes that it’s all thanks to you (and mom of course!).
Also, for Henry, on his very first Father’s Day, thank you for being the person that makes our daughter laugh the loudest (and cry the loudest – you sick, sick puppy!). It’s crazy to think that you’re going to be that dad getting all emotional giving our daughter away in the future. But for now, we’ll just hold on tight while we can!
