READY TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE?

Glen Drummond Farm Wedding Video | Kelly + Justin

We’ve been to Dyments Farm before to visit their lovely pumpkin patch, but didn’t know that within their grounds they also have a beautiful event space also known as Glen Drummond Farm! That’s another reason why we were super excited to hear that Kelly and Justin wanted to book with us – it was going to be great to see what their venue was going to offer and how it was going to look when a wedding was taking place there! Not only did they have the most gorgeous of ceremony spaces set upon the edge of a Niagara Escarpment and overlooking the Dundas Valley, sunflowers were in season and they had this stunning field of flowers which we were allowed to go wander through for photos and videos! They also had the most charming tractors that shuttled people to and from the ceremony space, giving them that farm-feel and vibe you would expect from a venue like this! So A+ for venue choice Kelly and Justin!

Rain is generally viewed by couples as a bad thing on their wedding day. But these two lovely individuals just rolled with what they couldn’t control on the day, and turned it all into a positive. Honestly, we felt the rain added that something extra to the wedding! Seeing all those umbrellas during the ceremony and experiencing all the emotion while the rain pitter-pattered around everyone, the beauty and drama was priceless! It was also a very funny moment when the officiant read out the Apache wedding prayer which has the line, ‘now you will feel no rain’ – and of course, everyone burst out laughing! What a lovely unscripted moment. We are big fans of those! Another wedding where rain added to the dramatics of the wedding day was Amber + Ryan’s.

We knew going into this wedding that the band playing that night for evening entertainment was a big deal to the couple. Why? Well the lead singer happens to be Kelly’s dad! Music definitely runs in the family, because Kelly’s sister also sang along that night to the crowd’s delight! Everyone basically had the time of their life singing and dancing along to the band named, ‘Old Dogs, New Tricks’. We were the lucky ones able to capture all the fun and basically got to attend a concert at the same time! How proud the couple must have felt as they watched their family bring the house down! The last time the crowd got so hyped up by the band on stage was at Ali + Ryan’s wedding!

Lastly, we must also mention Erin Blackwood Photography because without her, we wouldn’t have filmed this wedding! She’s the one that introduced us to this couple and we are so grateful for that. We have worked with Erin and her husband numerous times before, and it’s always so effortless on the day. Made our jobs so much easier, working alongside wonderfully talented and professional people. Looking forward to the next wedding we get to work on together!

Thank you Kelly and Justin for letting us capture all the amazing moments of your big day! The video just came together so wonderfully because you guys gave us all the content we needed and more! Wishing you all the best in this next chapter in life!

Nothing but love,
Henjo x
