READY TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE?

LIBERTY GRAND | TORONTO WEDDING CINEMATOGRAPHY | OWEN + MEKHALA

We finally got to shoot an Irish wedding!!! My dream has come true! Well half Irish that is – and Mekhala we’ve come to know, has the Irish spirit in her! When we first met with Owen and Mekhala, the four of us clicked right away and we knew their wedding would be a beautiful mix of two cultures coming together in the name of love. Add in some good craic and you have a recipe for a fun-filled day.

The love between the two of them was evident from the start! And if you’re crazy and can’t feel the love for some odd reason, just check out their first look! Their reaction says it all! Both of them are genuinely over the moon that they are in each other’s company and that they are going to spend the rest of their lives together! It’s great to see when both individuals truly feel lucky to have the other.

The wedding was held at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex in Toronto. This venue will be familiar to many Toronto Wedding Videographers as it is an extremely popular wedding venue that can hold multiple weddings at one time. The wedding ceremony was also held here in the courtyard which is a gorgeous spot for those interested in taking a look. We have shot many weddings at the venue over the years and it never disappoints! Not only does it provide a stunning backdrop, but the service from the staff is always on point too. Check out another recent wedding we shot there where the bride was Joanie’s old school friend – Kaushalya + Aravinda

What can I say about this wedding? There’s just something so special about two people with completely different backgrounds coming together to create a life as one. We speak from experience being a mixed couple ourselves. I’m always learning new things about Joanie’s culture and experiences growing up (as does she about me), and we always have plenty of family around the globe to visit and catch up with. Owen and Mekhala looked thrilled to be tying the knot and I’m sure there is an endless pot of adventures involving both of their cultures and families for them to enjoy in the future. It’s too bad that Owen’s mom couldn’t join them on their special day, but they did a great thing by live-streaming their event for her to watch from home! It was important for us to include her in some way in this video – she was definitely missed by all!

We can’t end this blog post without giving a shout out to one of our favourite wedding photographers in Toronto – Avangard Photography . Mario recommended us to Owen and Mekhala which put the ball-in-motion for us to end up here today. We have worked with Mario plenty of times over the years and he is truly invisible on your wedding day. He is a candid shooter just like us and he always happens to be in the right spot at the right time. Cheers Mario!

Thank you guys so much for choosing us to take care of the wedding videography for your big day! Stay in touch, and we will definitely have to catch up and reminisce about your wedding with a few beers.

Nuthin but luv!
Henjo 🙂
