READY TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE?

Old Mill | Toronto Wedding | Arpana + Colin

First off, thank you Nikki Mills Photography for sending such a lovely couple our way! Not only are they lovely, they are gorgeous! Someone get these two in a Colgate ad!

There were a lot of touching moments from this wedding day to reflect on. Sometimes the hardest part of being wedding videographers is choosing what awesome bits we inevitably have to leave out of the the highlight video. Some speakers really steal the show with their awesomeness when they get up to the mic, but when editing we always try to keep things balanced between all the speakers in both families. Luckily for us, both sides of the family delivered on this one, and there was so much content to choose from!

When it comes to what bits really hit us on the day and during the editing process, we have to mention the part about Arpana’s parents coping so well with their daughter moving to the other side of the world for love. It reminded us of a similar scenario with a wedding we filmed last year – Adam + Laura. Australia must really have a lot of great things to offer, besides these great guys of course!

Along with the heartfelt moments, the aussies also know how to have a good time! We were treated to some cracking speeches and fun-filled moments all-round. Especially from Colin’s best man who just stole the show with his 90s RnB speech! Very nicely done! We can’t forget the surprise performance from the whole wedding party as well! They absolutely killed it on the dancefloor! So hard to coordinate with such a large group, but they pulled it off! It must’ve taken a lot of practice, which shows the commitment of everyone to this couple and willingness to do something special for them on the day. Colin and Arpana are great people, so we’re not surprised!

The wedding reception was held at the Old Mill in Toronto. Joanie and I checked out this venue for our own wedding as it has a lot to offer. Lots of rooms available to choose from and it provided a great back drop and atmosphere to host such an intimate wedding. We have always loved those dark wooden beams on the ceiling of Colin and Arpana’s reception space!

As mentioned earlier we were recommended by Nikki from Nikki Mills Photography. The last time we worked together was back in 2015 for Amanda and Greg’s wedding. It was seamless working with Nikki back then, just like it was for this wedding. One top of all of that, she is exceptional at her craft! Go take a look at her work and see for yourself.

Thanks again Arpana and Colin for being such a cool and easy couple to work with! You couldn’t have made it any easier for us on the day 🙂

Nuthin but luv,
Henry + Joanie
