I’ve been emotional when filming weddings, during the editing process, and teary-eyed watching the final product – what can I say, our couples pull on my heartstrings! – but this wedding for some reason, just made me bawl lol! I wasn’t even there filming the wedding either! I was just the person in the editing room piecing this beautiful love story together. Listening to the way the couple spoke about each other, and the way their family and friends embraced them as individuals and as a pair, just made me so emotional!
Andrea and Aki are the sweetest, and I can say this, without even having met them! Trust me, you will agree after getting a short glimpse of them in their highlights! They both met at work (even though Andrea had a ‘no dating co-worker’ policy) and hit it off! Luckily for both of them, Andrea let her policy slide 🙂 The way Andrea described Aki in her Q&A was probably where the waterworks started for me. You could just feel the genuine love she had for him and even through her answers, I could tell how much he loved her. ‘He makes her feel loved’ was the bottom line, and honestly, as a viewer, we could feel it too! Everyone deserves a love like this!
They got married at the beautiful Omni King Edward hotel where we have filmed before (Amanda and Elio’s wedding). A wonderful venue in the heart of downtown Toronto for all of you looking for a city backdrop! A perfect place to squeeze in that city photoshoot you have been dreaming of.
We must also give a shout out to Dan Clements Photography for recommending us to this lovely couple! We’ve work alongside him and his wife Livi Shaw Photography quite a few times over the years, and it has always been a treat 🙂 A memorable wedding we worked together was Melanie and Thomas’ back in 2016.
