READY TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE?

Parkview Manor | Nigerian Wedding | Amena + Adetoro

So many things stuck out from this wedding that it is hard to know what to say. That part at the church though, during the wedding ceremony where Amena made about 10 different unique faces in the space of about 2 seconds, will forever crack us up. Check out the video still above to see what we are talking about. Her reaction was just priceless and we are happy that the moment was captured and documented forever, just to remind every man out there to know their place! And this is coming from me (Henry) by the way. I know my place and I’m happy to follow the rules Joanie has laid out for me. She’s a ’10’ and I’m only a 9 and 3/4’s at best. So she will always have the upper hand. #HappyWifeHappyLife

I still remember clearly our first skype call with Amena. She is a girl that knows what she wants and that is the impression we got straight away. So the story of how she had the courage to add Adetoro on facebook and then ‘make’ him her husband did not surprise us at all. Amena mentioned how she loved another wedding video (Norris + Glenna) we produced a year earlier and after she saw that she said she had to have us for her wedding day. As I said, this is a girl that knows what she wants and goes after it! She speaks her mind and gets straight to the point. #BossLady

As for Adetoro, apparently there was a time when he wasn’t built like an absolute beast!! I just can’t imagine him any different to be honest. He is the perfect example of a friendly giant. Someone who may look intimidating because of his godly physique. But I’m pretty sure after hanging out with this guy for the day that he sleeps with teddy bears in bed each night 🙂 He is just a big softy. His nickname should be twinkle toes with how easily he can move on the dance floor besides having the ginormous frame that he has. And we have to bring up the best friend and best man! Oh what a speech! After Joanie re-listened to his whole speech after the wedding, she said she could literally use the whole thing if needed. It was hard leaving out the rest of his awesome speech, but those are the tough decisions that go on during the editing process.

It was our first time shooting at Parkview Manor and it definitely ticked all the boxes with what you need from a wedding venue. The main hall had a great layout/shape and there was ample room in the space used for the cocktail hour.

The photographer Callum Pinkney, was really easy to work with and just had a great positive vibe about him during the day. He understands what we as wedding cinematographers are trying to do and he was always mindful about his positioning. Check out some of the pictures he posted on his blog from this epic day here.

We love you Amena and Toro! Thank you for giving us such amazing content to work with in the editing room – we won’t say no to three outfit changes, two ceremonies, amazing dancing all day, and those perfect smiling faces! It is truly #teamAAAforever

Nuthin but luv,
Henjo x
