This was certainly a two day wedding extravaganza not to be missed! If you were lucky enough to get an invite (Yay us!), you would’ve experienced the utmost joy, laughter, fun, tradition, emotion and of course, LOVE. Love was the foundation of everything on their two wedding event days. The love between two wonderful people and their families was emanating from each corner of every room we were in. It couldn’t be missed!
Aparna and Gene welcomed us both with open arms and took us in as if we were part of the family! We instantly felt at home and that comfort always makes for a better filming experience – especially when we get all intimate during the Q&A! We loved their true, honest and genuine answers during this part of the day, and as always, it ultimately added to the heart of this wedding video. We love how Gene said Aparna sparked a fire in him that he thought was gone – honestly gives us goosebumps every time we were hear that opener to their video. Their passion for one another is plain to see.
Their Sangeet was held at Joshua Creek Heritage Arts Centre, a sweet little venue perfect for an intimate party of guests. It was a wonderful place to gather family and friends to enjoy each other’s company and just have a good time. There was mingling, lots of great food, henna, wonderful performances and DANCING of course! All we captured that night were smiles on every face during the festivities! On a side note, we think Gene and Aparna are complete troopers as they braved all the mosquitoes in order to get photos/videos outside during sun set. They were getting ravaged, but they pushed on with smiles on their faces. Truly a perfect example of the type of people that they are.
The wedding day was held at the lovely Rattlesnake Point Golf Club, where we’ve filmed before for one of our other couples, Richa and Trevor’s. Paras Events Inc. did the most amazing job transforming the ceremony space into this magical wonderland. The mandap was absolutely stunning – dripping with the most gorgeous purple flowers and it was the perfect backdrop for Aparna’s epic walk down the aisle. Even though it was a super hot day, Aparna and Gene looked amazing in their beautiful outfits (we were fortunate to see three outfit changes during the two events!). Aparna’s beauty was brought out wonderfully by All Things Pretty Inc., speaking of wonderful vendors. We were lucky to work with many amazing people that day, including the photographer Dave Abreu Photography. So laid back and wasn’t rigid with anything! Hopefully we’ll get to work with all of these people again!
The dancing didn’t stop on day one – it all carried over to day two and we are so happy when we see others having a great time. Our cameras love it of course! Dancing is truly a universal language, and we honestly felt like this event was the perfect example of that! Seeing the happiness of two cultures coming together during the two day event through the laughter and movement on the dance floor really brought joy to our eyes! The happiness was overflowing!
Aparna and Gene – we hope this happiness continues to overflow throughout your lives and that you continue feeling that spark and fire between you two. We have no doubt that your love will conquer all! Thank you so much again for letting us capture your story, it’s definitely an unforgettable one! Everyone, just watch the video and you’ll see 🙂
