I knew after my skype call with Clara and Terence that their guests would be in for one hell of a party. And that’s exactly what they got! The day was filled with fun, laughter and emotions right up to the point where the shots took over and party time exploded in full force. The last time we captured a party that was this lit was Maureen + Andrew.
One of the things we really loved about this wedding and need to comment on is how the couple’s two dogs Oreo and Bella were incorporated into the day. They were lucky enough to be part of the photo shoot and the ceremony…or shall we say Clara and Terence were the lucky ones! Oh how they love their dogs! Over the years we have come across plenty of dog lovers, but this might be the first time we saw a bride holding onto her dog during the vows! It was so incredibly sweet and a unique moment to witness! A lot of wedding venues are quite strict with their ‘no pet policy’, so it was really nice to see a venue be so relaxed with it. Another wedding we filmed where the dogs meant the world to the couple were – Cynthia + Brian.
Speaking of the venue, The Arlington Estate keeps popping up on our radar these days with quite a few inquiries from couples where this venue has been booked. It’s a relatively new wedding venue, so it’s only our second time filming here, but both experiences have been great. The staff are cool and relaxed and their Audio Visual system is top notch. When I asked them if I could fly my drone inside, they were excited rather than scared. I’m not usually able to fly indoors that much, but when I saw the high ceiling I knew it was possible so I went for it and it worked out great! One more aspect of this wedding venue I have to mention is the cocktail hour space, it’s massive and a nice square shape with room to move around. Both weddings we have shot here have had a few different stations for food etc… spread out around the place. Cocktail hours here take on a life of their own with so many different food options. It’s far more than just a place to chill out before the reception.
Lastly, we must thank Momentus Events for recommending us to this lovely couple! We’ve really enjoyed working with them in the past, as they are always super professional and on point with every aspect of the big day! Everything just went so smoothly and that’s really all thanks to them!
Oh, and I just remembered, the fireworks! These were actually planned by a different event going on at the same time at the venue. They happened to start going off at the perfect time too so all the guests could run outside to enjoy them. This was such a nice surprise and bonus for everyone!
