I have to start this blog post off with the Groom’s dad, this guy is the life of the party! He was constantly cracking jokes with all of the guests and even myself throughout the day. We bonded on the fact that we are both extremely lucky and proud of our wives. Joanie and I always like to find out who all the family members are first thing in the morning, and when I asked him to point out his wife (Anothony’s mother), he said, “That’s easy, just look out for the most beautiful woman in the room”. That would normally be Joanie, but since she was with the girls at a separate location, he was 100% correct 🙂 One other mini story from the day was on the bus ride to the wedding ceremony. All the guys were passing around beers but nobody had a bottle opener. In steps Anthony’s dad using his teeth to get the job done. He wasn’t worried for one second about getting beer on his suit, he just wanted everyone to enjoy a beer and have a good time on the bus ride. #legend
OK, maybe I should mention the bride or groom and the wedding day for a bit? If you want to hear more stories about Mr. Greico, we are shooting his daughter Andrea’s wedding this November 12th at Madsen’s Greenhouse. It’s a beautiful venue and we happened to shoot a wedding there earlier this year – Heidi + Rodney.
As you can tell from the wedding video, Abi and Anthony’s relationship was long distance for quite some time. This is a hard thing for any couple to endure, but you know that if you can make it through that, then you can make it through anything! Hanging out with these two on their wedding day was a breeze as they both have a very calming effect on the people around them. Some brides never get a moment to just chill, whereas Abi was taking time out from her busy day just to introduce me to one of her Irish friends that flew over just for the wedding. As for Anthony, when I first met him in the morning, I felt like he was a little bit quieter. Then during his thank you speech, he delivered a couple of lines that made everyone in the room keel over with laughter. There was one joke aimed at Abi’s younger sister that really cracked Joanie and I up, but we just couldn’t find a place to make it fit/work in the highlight video. Not to worry, Abi and Anthony, you will get to re-live it once we send you all the RAW footage.
The wedding reception was held at The Doctor’s House Banquet Hall in Kleinburg. It was our first time working here and the set up/decor was really impressive when we got to see it for the first time. Not to mention the food was on point! Speaking of food, we have to mention the cake. It was made by the sister-of-the-groom, Andrea. If you want to treat your guests to a wedding cake that is both delicious as well as a piece of art, look no further than sweetsisterchicsister . We have to mention the photographers! Robert Mauriell assisted by Marlies Hartmann, were a real fun couple to work with on the day. As a couple themselves we had a lot to talk about at the vendors table regarding the pros and cons of working with our ladies. It’s great most of the time, but sometimes Joanie just wants to kill me. She says it’s cus I talk too much, which might annoy her, but I think it’s cus she’s jelly of all of the banter I’m having. Basically since I’m writing this blog post, I can say what I want.
