The first time we met Michelle, we were actually meeting up with our mutual friend who flew in from Australia to visit Toronto. This friend, Sadhbh, was Henry’s old schoolmate in Ireland – how lucky are we, that she was connected to Michelle! As we all scarfed down blueberry pancakes, we got to know Michelle and naturally, learned about Tyler (because you can’t have one without the other with these two peas in a pod!). We eventually met up all together again, but this time with Tyler around as well. And although the two of them were not engaged at that point, we had a sneaky feeling it was just around the corner seeing those hearts and stars in their eyes! It’s like their honeymoon stage never ended! That being said, we got a message from Michelle a little over a year later telling us the big news that she was engaged! Surprise, surprise!
That bit of news brought us to their big day this past September. We couldn’t have been happier when they asked us to capture their big day for them. They invited us into their homes only after meeting them once and treated us to great food and even greater company. We knew that these two generous and lovely individuals were going to give us a story that we were going to want to tell on film. Cue the video to get that story!
One of the things that we were super excited about was the fact that their wedding was being held in Muskoka. The beauty there is on another level! We’ve filmed here before (Adam and Meaghan) and can we say, our drone was super happy 🙂 This time around was no different! The couple held their wedding at the gorgeous Touchstone Resort. We filmed here once before when we captured the boys getting ready at Ashely + Sean’s wedding. The difference here at Michelle and Tyler’s wedding was that the whole event was filmed in this one venue space from morning to night. So many opportunities everywhere we looked! The landscape and backdrop we got to work with, including the pinkest of sunsets, was incredible – we were literally spoiled with choice! It was great, because all their family and friends could make a whole holiday out of it by staying at the resort as well. And wasn’t the ceremony just stunning on the dock? Great choice guys!
We were also lucky enough to work with Marcucci Photography again! Lea is so sweet and SO super talented – you must check out her work! We couldn’t have asked for a better person to work alongside with and hope some 2019 weddings brings us together again 🙂
So from the breathtaking ceremony, to the rockin’ party in the evening, no detail was missed. It was literally the perfect day and we’re so happy to share the highlights with all of you! Love. Life. Happiness. Those three words really pop into our minds when we think about this day and the people involved. Thank you Michelle and Tyler for letting us be a part of it all! You romantics are seriously #relationshipgoals
Lots of love,
Joanie and Henry
