READY TO GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE?

Berkeley Field House Event Venue | Toronto Wedding | Christine + Tom

This was our first time shooting a wedding at Berkeley Field House, and we have to say it didn’t disappoint! Let’s start with the tree house, which is where the boys got ready. At first when we heard that Tom and his groomsmen were getting ready in a tree house, I just presumed it was a hip name for some building downtown that maybe resembled a tree house. But it really is a legitimate tree house! How cool is that! And it couldn’t fit more perfectly with their school-themed wedding. The wedding venue itself is perfect for intimate weddings. It’s very compact but still offers a lot of unique backdrops for some great pictures if you don’t fancy travelling to a specific photoshoot location.

As you can probably tell from the wedding video, Tom fits the profile of a gentle giant (as Christine calls him!), and Christine is a cutie! They were both so easy to talk to during our first meet-up, and on the wedding day itself we felt like we were hanging out with friends. As you can tell from the highlight video they met in kindergarten, hence the theme. They definitely pulled it off in style. The decor was spot on! So unique – we loved the periodic table to find your seat, and the math equations for table numbers – there were just so many personal touches! Truly, all the details from morning til night was such a treat for the eyes!

We have to give a shoutout to Malvina from Fabulous Occasions who was really on top on everything at every minute. You could tell by the way she worked that she really loves what she does and cares a lot about making the Bride and Groom’s dream wedding come true. Everything was executed just perfectly!

We also have to mention the photographer, Reid from When He Found Her. Reid was very professional and had a very calming presence about him. He was also very considerate when working with us, but most importantly he takes amazing pictures! Check out his website to see for yourself!

Oh and last but not least, we have to give a special shoutout again to the DJ – Sanga Genesis. We worked with him for our very own wedding and another two this past year, one of which was Kyrstana + Chris. We were sitting amongst guests during the dinner and we got to witness first-hand how much they appreciated all the nostalgic tunes Sanga busted out during dinner. He does his best to ensure the guests are having a good time, not only at the end of the night, but throughout the whole ceremony and reception too.

This wedding was awesome because it had everything we always look for – loads of emotion, hilarious moments, beauty all around, and people just genuinely having a good time.

Thanks again Christine and Tom for letting us be a part of your special day and for being such a chill couple to work with 🙂 Your wedding was absolutely beautiful in all senses of the word, which made our jobs as wedding cinematographers so darn easy!

Nuthin but Luv,
Henjo x
