We felt a kinship straight away with Catherine and Cormac when we first met up with them over video call. With Cormac being Irish and Catherine being Canadian, we understood that connection right off the bat! Just as I fell in love with Henry’s accent, so did Catherine with Cormac’s Northern Irish accent (according to Cormac, it’s rated pretty high up there in terms of best accents in the world haha!). Cormac was even sweet enough to give Henry the same pin he gave his groomsmen, which was an Irish flag and Canadian flag intertwined – honestly, the pair of them are just the most thoughtful people! Another Irish and Canadian combo we had the pleasure of filming was Sabin and Eric.
We have to mention that we got another surprise on the day! Catherine and Cormac told us they were expecting their first child together! Baby bump couldn’t have been more adorable in Catherine’s stunning dress. What a great thing to tell your future child, that they were able to attend your big day 🙂 Speaking of kids, Cormac already had a son, Joshua, when he first met Catherine. The sweetest thing was witnessing how much Catherine adores Joshua and how much Joshua adores Catherine. Their interactions all day and night made our hearts melt. At one point, he even ran up during the first dance to step in in front of dad to dance with Catherine! One of the highlights of the night!
The couple held their wedding at the lovely Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery which we’ve filmed at a few times before. Check out John and Melissa’s wedding held here as well. A beautiful outdoor space for a ceremony and a stunning tent for the reception! Although the rain came down in true Irish fashion, it didn’t deter from all the love and fun from the day. The positive couple just switched things around and had their signing and cocktails first before the rain subsided so they could have the ceremony they wanted outside as they had originally planned. No sweat! We love a couple that can just go with the flow – and that’s exactly what they did! It certainly helped that their wedding planner Ivana James & Co. kept her calm and easy-going demeanor to sort out all the logistics with the schedule when this unexpected weather came up! Awesome job making all those changes and transitions so smoothly 🙂
Another vendor we must mention is Erin Blackwood Photography. We have worked with her and her hubby plenty of times in the past and it’s always the best time. Kelly and Justin’s wedding is one we can remember working with them recently on. They are super talented and just the easiest to get along with. Consider them for your big day if you’re looking for some fab photos and some fun!
Well we’re going to stop it here and let the video do the talking! Catherine and Cormac, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your special day! We had so much fun celebrating your love and the love of both of your families. Excited that your baby has finally arrived and that you’re on this new chapter in life together! Lots of love to you all 🙂
Until the next post,
