The Guild Inn Estate Wedding | Scarborough | Faye + Jason

This was our first time shooting a wedding at The Guild Inn Estate, and what a great backdrop for such a great love story! Faye and Jason are as nice as they get! Both before and after their wedding they have done nothing but shower us with praise and be so easy and flexible with everything. When we think of Faye and Jason, the first thing that comes to mind is ‘opposites attract’! We love that saying as we know it’s very true for ourselves too. Joanie and I are very different in many ways and enjoy a good bicker from time to time, but at the end of the day we have each others backs forever. Following Faye and Jason for their whole wedding day gave us all the footage we needed to pair with everything they both said in their Q&A in the morning. That’s why it’s so important to just be yourself when answering our questions and to be as honest as possible, because our cameras will hopefully catch some of the real moments between couples to help illustrate what was said earlier in the day.

The next thing that jumps to mind about this wedding is Faye’s sister’s speech and performance. She just killed it! Had everybody cracking up at one point and in tears the next. Can’t wait to edit the whole thing together to remember the epicness of it all 🙂 As with this speech, one common theme that kept popping up throughout the night was how many cops and nurses were in the room, as well as drawing similarities between both families in a playful way. I don’t think Joanie or myself ever laughed out loud so much when hearing some of the humour on display here 🙂

One of the cool things about this wedding venue was how much space there was out back to get some amazing shots. For couples getting married here, it’s not necessary to find another location for the photoshoot portion of the wedding day. Both wedding videographers and photographers are spoiled with how much beauty is on offer at this venue’s grounds. It saves so much time too, not having to round everyone up and drive to a separate location. This is a big plus when it comes to choosing a wedding venue. Another venue with ample space for a photoshoot is Whistle Bear Golf club. Here’s the last wedding we shot there if you fancy a look (Danielle + Nate)

We also wanted to quickly mention two of the wedding vendors we had the pleasure of working with in the past. Enduring Promises are always on point when it comes to officiating a wedding. We have always had a positive working experience with them! And how could we not mention Doris Wai! She is at the top of her game when it comes to lettering. We have seen her work countless times at wedding’s before and we shot a promotional video for her educational book too. She ceases to amaze us with her talent 🙂

Faye and Jason thanks for trusting us to tell your story guys and for just being such lovely people to be around!

Nuthin but luv,
Henry + Joanie
