Wow! What an epic day! Those guys really know how to enjoy themselves! That is what Joanie and I were left saying to each other on our way home from Kaitlyn and Habib’s wedding. The day was jam-packed with fun people who just wanted to drink up a storm and party even harder. The last 30 seconds of the highlight video was a brief summary of pretty much half the wedding night. The energy never dropped and we never stopped shooting! To be honest it was pretty hard for both of us to sleep that night when we got home, we were still pretty amped up on adrenaline.
Apart from the partying, these two really done a good job of taking in the moment and being present during the day’s big moments. I specifically remember Kaitlyn’s expression as her parents walked her down the aisle. She didn’t look nervous about where to look considering so many eyes were on her. She took in the moment and had a little look around at all the people who had come to be a part of the big day. This is something that you can’t really practice for. I remember even at my own wedding, being a bit frazzled during the ceremony, but Kaitlyn really took it all in her stride and couldn’t keep a big smile off her face. We mentioned Kaitlyn’s parents here, so we should take this opportunity to give a big shout out to her mom who found us in the first place and brought us to Kaitlyn’s attention. Can’t thank you enough for connecting us with such an amazing couple!
The reception was held at The Grand Victorian Convention Centre in Mississauga. We love working in Mississauga, because we live there – BOOM! The decor in this place was really something too!! The last time we got this blown away with decor was at Sufya + Pamir’s wedding also held in Mississauga and at Christine + Tom’s wedding held in Berkeley Fieldhouse in Toronto.
We have to mention the photographers – John & Veronica Photography. These two are very unassuming! That is the best word I can think of to describe them. They are very easy to work with and very obliging. Joanie and I got on with them so well that when we got home we had to creep their website and social media to see what their work was like. After about a minute we realized they are rockstars in the photography world, winning award after award! You would not think it when working with them as they are ‘humble as pie’ in person!
Lastly, we can’t finish this blog post without mentioning that epic candle dance. ‘Wow!’ is all we can say. We’ve never seen anything like it! Not only was it magical and breathtaking, it was full to the brim with love. We could feel it in the air and we could tell that everyone in the room felt special to be a part of it.
Thank you once again to Kaitlyn and Habib for choosing us to tell your story and for letting us experience your wedding like a friend and not a vendor. You made us feel that way all day and night. I’m sure we will bump into you both at a future wedding and get a chance to reminisce 🙂
